Senior Java Developer

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate is a strong technical lead with over 10 years of Java development experience, proficient in modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and front-end technologies. This valued leader will guide end-to-end development initiatives and ensure successful delivery of robust, scalable applications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

•  Lead and execute end-to-end project development using Core Java and Spring Boot
•  Design and develop microservices-based architecture
•  Utilize AWS cloud services (including S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch) for scalable deployments
•  Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
•  Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and defects
•  Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
•  Conduct proof of concept (POC) research and recommend new technologies
•  Provide mentorship to junior developers and review code for quality and performance

What We're Looking For:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
•  10+ years of hands-on Core Java development experience (Java 8 or higher)
•  Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
•  Solid experience with front-end technologies including Angular and Node.js
•  Experience working in AWS environments, including deploying applications and using core services
•  Proven knowledge of Java EE, design patterns, and development best practices
•  Experience in Agile software development methodologies
•  Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
•  Willingness to work fully onsite in McLean, VA
