Job Overview:
This is a multifaceted Authorization Processing (AP) software developer position with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities. The role involves working on a scrum team to analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products. The ideal candidate will take personal responsibility for the quality of deliverables and contribute to the overall success of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a scrum team consisting of project managers, developers, business analysts, and quality control testers.
• Analyze, design, program, debug, modify, and unit test software enhancements and/or new products.
• Ensure the quality of individual deliverables and contribute to the team's quality assurance efforts.
• Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and modifications.
• Participate in all Agile team meetings and ceremonies.
• Create and revise technical documentation related to coding and development.
• Train new or junior developers on application or system aspects and development processes.
• Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules as needed.
• Deliver presentations to technical and business groups as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience with HP NonStop/Tandem development, including Connex or Base24.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as TAL, pTAL, COBOL, and SCOBOL.
• Experience with Pathway, Enscribe, and SQL systems.
• Knowledge of Debit Card payment processing and ATM transactions.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe).
• Strong attention to detail, diligence, and accuracy.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build high levels of satisfaction.
• Exceptional analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to share technical and industry knowledge with team members.
• Proactive and resourceful in gathering information and sharing ideas.

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of financial services industry and banking practices.
• Understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles (e.g., waterfall, iterative).
• Familiarity with software industry standards (e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in design patterns, sequence diagrams, and class models.
• Experience with model-driven design tools and techniques.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to estimate work effort and ensure project completion.
• Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsiveness to clients.
• Willingness to mentor and coach team members.

Additional Skills:

• Advanced professional role requiring broad knowledge of the system development life cycle.
• Proficiency in at least two higher-level programming languages.
• Experience evaluating systems specifications for complex business requirements.
• Ability to analyze problems related to scalable applications and cloud-based resources.
• Competence in working independently or in a team environment.
• Typically requires seven or more years of software engineering experience.

Pay Range: $60 - $65

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
