Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.

Equifax is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer driven by Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles to craft intuitive, innovative software and platform experiences. Combining analytical rigor with creative problem-solving, this role is crucial for optimizing user journeys and integrating forward-thinking design solutions. A strong portfolio demonstrating successful, complex UX and technical projects is essential for this position, which aims to attract and retain customers through exceptional usability and pioneering design.

What you'll do:
  • Maintain a strong passion for innovation, actively exploring and prototyping with emerging technologies, solutions, and processes to future-proof our products.
  • Collaborate closely with the User Research team to leverage existing personas, user journey maps, and research findings, applying these insights to drive key design decisions and complete the Lean UX Canvas.
  • Lead evaluative user testing and usability studies on prototypes and developed features, working in partnership with the Research team to gather iterative feedback and measure design success.
  • Create high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes that prioritize customer needs and solve complex UX problems (e.g., usability, findability).
  • Champion accessibility by ensuring all design solutions and contributions to the Design System meet high standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1+ compliance) for inclusive user experiences.
  • Actively contribute to the governance, maintenance, and future evolution of our internal Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and adherence to accessibility standards across all platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with development and visual design teams to ensure technical feasibility and attractive implementation.
  • Clearly articulate design ideas, rationale, and prototypes to cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers and engineering leads.
  • Keep abreast of competitor products, industry trends, and the capabilities of new design tools.

What experience you need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional certification from an accredited design program.
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role.
  • Proven, hands-on experience applying the principles of Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodology throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading user testing, usability studies, and leveraging the Lean UX Canvas for rapid hypothesis validation and iteration.
  • Demonstrated experience designing to meet WCAG standards and applying accessibility best practices throughout the design and prototyping process.
  • Expert proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, or UXPin.

What could set you apart:
  • Advanced skills in Figma, including library management, component creation, and seamless developer hand-off (e.g., via FigJam).
  • Experience with Agentic UX Design principles (designing systems that can perform complex, multi-step actions autonomously).
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop) for high-quality visual asset creation and refinement.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript.
  • A portfolio that clearly demonstrates leadership on complex, successful design projects and a commitment to accessible design standards.
  • Knowledge of core front-end technologies: HTML/CSS.
