Senior Middleware Engineer

Our client in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Senior Middleware Engineer for a contract to hire role. This role will require 2-3 days a week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain IBM MQ and IBM DataPower environments.


• Provide leadership and hands-on support during high-impact triage calls to resolve integration and infrastructure issues.


• Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to ensure optimal operation.


• Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to support middleware solutions.


• Automate routine administrative tasks and support CI/CD integration as needed.


• Ensure all middleware services are compliant with organizational standards and security protocols.


• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in middleware administration, with IBM MQ and IBM DataPower experience.


• Experience and proficiency working in Linux-based environments.


• Demonstrated ability to lead triage and incident response efforts, especially involving complex integration and communication issues.


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.


• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
