Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a talented team in developing and operating Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE). In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and delivery of cloud-native services that power OCI's Kubernetes platform. You will be entrusted with leading a strong, high-performing engineering team, guiding them through complex challenges while fostering an environment where innovation and operational excellence thrive.

As a key technical engineering leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that your team's objectives and deliverables align with broader organizational goals. You will support the end-to-end lifecycle of software projects, championing quality, scalability, and resilience of OKE solutions. Through effective mentorship and coaching, you will promote career growth and continuous learning, maintaining a motivating atmosphere that values collaboration and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers responsible for delivering robust Kubernetes platform services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native solutions.
  • Align project goals and team objectives with organizational priorities and long-term product strategy.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture that encourages growth and innovation.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities to team members.
  • Implement efficient engineering processes to ensure quality, timely delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams-including product management, operations, and support-to deliver customer value.
  • Drive operational excellence by proactively addressing issues, optimizing service reliability, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent to support team growth and business needs.
  • Maintain accountability for team performance, ensuring alignment with OCI values and organizational goals.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,600 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
