Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Systems Administrator to join our team! In this specialized role, you will support day-to-day operations in a unique and critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have system administration experience with Microsoft servers, high volume storage solutions, and Cisco routers and switches.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Participate in the design & implementation of new systems infrastructure
  • Install and configure hardware and software components
  • Monitor system health and performance to meet program requirements and minimize down time
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
  • Provide technical insights to other team members
  • Participate in project planning & execution, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Perform system upgrades and patches
  • Interface frequently with users on a daily basis and respond to emergent needs
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Manage user accounts and access controls
  • Develop and maintain standard operational procedures and system documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, & best practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • A TS/SCI w/ poly is required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, and Server 2019.
  • Experience performing systems administration functions with PowerShell.
  • Ability to work both independently and with others while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work frequently with users in a friendly and professional way.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and CIFS.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Worked performed will be 100% on-site in a secure environment.
  • Must be mission oriented.
  • Position will require on-call rotation for after hours/weekend support.

What Desired (but not required) Certifications You'll Bring:
  • Knowledge of storage solutions such as SAN/NAS technologies
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
