Job Title: Network Security Engineer with Microsoft Azure

This role involves migrating existing Fortinet firewall infrastructure to Palo Alto Networks firewalls, while also managing Microsoft Azure network security. The person in this role will act as a Network Security Engineer, ensuring that both on-premises and cloud environments remain secure, compliant, and operational during and after the firewall conversion.
Key Responsibilities Explained:
Palo Alto Conversion from Fortinet Firewall

• Replace Fortinet firewall configurations with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Your Role:
  • Analyze current Fortinet configurations (rules, policies, NAT, VPNs).
  • Map and migrate those configurations to Palo Alto firewalls using tools or manual translation.
  • Test and validate network functionality and security policies post-migration.
  • Fine-tune Palo Alto features like App-ID, Content-ID, and Threat Prevention to match or exceed existing security posture.

Microsoft Azure Network Security

• Your Role:
  • Design and manage Azure network components (VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, ExpressRoute, etc.).
  • Implement security best practices for Azure infrastructure (zero trust, segmentation, monitoring).
  • Integrate Palo Alto s cloud-based firewalls (VM-Series) with Azure.
  • Monitor for threats, manage logs, and ensure compliance with security standards.
