Job Details

Pay Range: $90 - $100 Per Hour
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Location: Seattle, WA (South Lake Union) Onsite

Key Responsibilities



  • Review hardware and electrical designs from a security and privacy perspective



  • Validate privacy-critical hardware behavior, such as microphone power cut-offs and isolation paths



  • Perform hands-on hardware security testing on prototype and pre-production devices



  • Use lab equipment to identify physical security risks and vulnerabilities



  • Sample devices to ensure manufacturing and security compliance



  • Participate in virtual design and compliance reviews with global suppliers (primarily APAC)



  • Collaborate with internal engineering, security, and compliance teams



  • Document findings and communicate risks clearly to leadership and stakeholders




Required Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in hardware security, embedded security, or device security



  • Strong electrical engineering background with experience reviewing circuit designs and PCB layouts



  • Knowledge of hardware threat modeling, secure boot, and embedded cryptography (RSA, AES, HMAC; PQC a plus)



  • Experience with manufacturing security processes, including secure provisioning and production flows



  • Hands-on experience testing, debugging, or assessing hardware security



  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as:




    • Oscilloscopes



    • Multimeters



    • Logic analyzers



    • Microscopes



    • Soldering tools




  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field



  • Experience writing technical documentation, risk assessments, and reports for leadership



  • Strong communication skills and experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments



  • Experience collaborating with external partners or suppliers
