Job Title: Oracle Cloud Senior Principal Payroll Lead
Location: Remote (U.S. Based)
Duration: 12 Months
Working Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST (Monday to Friday)
Travel Required: 25% 50% (for key project milestones; expenses covered)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and team-oriented Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Lead to join our consulting team. This is a remote position, with occasional travel to client sites as needed. The successful candidate will lead Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations, provide best-practice guidance, and collaborate across functional and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Oracle Cloud Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) to interpret business requirements and provide optimal configurations.
- Consult on Oracle Cloud Payroll best practices, policies, and process improvements.
- Configure and manage Oracle Cloud ERP Payroll applications.
- Coordinate with other module leads and technical streams for seamless integration and delivery.
- Support payroll-related data conversion activities and integration efforts.
- Create and maintain test scripts and documentation.
- Assist with key system processes such as payroll cycle management, accruals, garnishments, etc.
- Lead and support functional testing, including monthly/quarterly patch testing.
- Provide weekly status updates to the project team.
- Facilitate end-user documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements based on industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
- 9+ years as an Oracle Cloud Payroll Lead, with 2 4 years of implementation experience.
- Experience working with public sector clients (state governments, cities, counties) is a plus.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Oracle HCM Cloud tools (HCM Extract, HDL, PBL)
- Payroll integrations, reports, conversions
- Testing and issue resolution related to patching
- Proven ability to lead full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, configuration, programming, unit testing.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
