Job Details

Job Title: Transmission System Operations Support III
Location: Hybrid Windsor Office, PA (In-office: Tuesday Thursday; Remote: Monday & Friday)

Duration : 6+ Month contract

Position Summary:

Client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Transmission System Operations Support III to join our Transmission Operations Support team. This hybrid role will assist in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and continuous improvement of systems supporting Transmission Operations, specifically the Transmission Outage Application (TOA), iTOA, EMS applications, and operational documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Transmission Outage Application (TOA) Support:

  • Audit and validate existing iTOA and TOA applications to ensure accurate representation of all devices in the Energy Management System (EMS), including electrical one-line schematics.
  • Confirm that all operator switching steps are correctly configured in TOA.
  • Develop and implement controls to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Evaluate and propose digital switching capabilities within ORCA/iTOA to reduce manual switching procedures.

Operator Station Notes & Customer Operating Instructions:

  • Recreate Rhode Island (RI) Station Notes to match standardized Pennsylvania (PA) formats.
  • Maintain and update station notes to reflect real-time system and equipment changes.
  • Standardize and update Customer Operating Instructions (OIs) for clarity and operational consistency.

Procedure Development & Optimization:

  • Assist in creating and improving operational procedures focused on:
    • Operations study best practices
    • EMS modeling and process improvements
    • EMS advanced application configurations
    • EMS alarming optimization
    • Facility ratings and documentation enhancements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate degree OR 1 2 years of industry-related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Familiarity with electric system operations, EMS, and one-line schematic diagrams.
  • Prior experience or knowledge in Transmission Operations preferred.
