Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Engineer to join our client's enterprise infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in large-scale Linux environments and a passion for automation, performance tuning, and modern infrastructure practices. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing mission-critical systems that support enterprise operations.
No C2C (Must work W2)
Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule onsite 3 days a week in Plano, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Manage TLS/SSL certificates and work with load balancing technologies such as F5, HAProxy, or NGINX.
  • Support virtualization and containerization platforms including VMware, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise-level Linux system administration.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and system hardening.
  • Experience with certificate management and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and container orchestration technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience working in Agile teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00/hr.
