Custom Business Solutions, a Michigan-based talent agency, is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer/Technical Lead for a remote workplace opportunity in West Michigan. Qualified candidates submitting an application will be considered for this contract opportunity. Candidates residing within MI, OH, IL, IN, KY, and WI will be given preference. 

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILL SET:

  • Expert-level experience with Java and Spring Boot; familiarity with .NET for OMS UI integrations

  • Strong REST API design and contract-first development experience

  • Deep expertise in distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka, asynchronous workflows)

  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies:

    • AKS / ARO, APIM, Functions, CosmosDB, Azure SQL, Storage, Data Factory

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL / AlloyDB) preferred

  • CI/CD expertise using Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Helm, Docker, and YAML templates

  • Experience with Liquibase, SQL schema design, and CosmosDB data modeling

  • Strong understanding of multi-cloud resiliency, failover, and traffic routing

  • Experience with observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, distributed tracing, structured logging)

  • Performance, integration, and end-to-end testing experience for distributed systems

  • Integration experience with Hybris / SAP Commerce, Mirakl, and enterprise platforms

  • Familiarity with LaunchDarkly feature flag strategies

This role is responsible for owning and evolving the end-to-end Order Management System (OMS) architecture across Yantra services, digital platforms, Hybris/SAP Commerce, and Mirakl 3P integrations
