Senior Manager - Databricks Consultancy

A top Databricks consultancy is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join their Data and Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a top firm who has recently been invested in by Databricks themselves. The role is offering fully remote, but the ideal candidate will be located in any of the following states with a preference for candidates in EST. MD, DC, CA, IL, IA, IN, MA, ME, NC, TX, TN, GA, CO, NY, NJ, VA, FL, OR, OH, or PA.
The main responsibilities of the role will be involved in the day-to-day management of the data engineering team as well as growing the headcount of the team in the next year. The ideal candidate will come from an Engineering background, as this position will be the point of escalation for any engineering problems. This role also involves customer engagement and interaction so any experience in consultancy or sales firms will be beneficial.
Tech Skills:

• Data Engineering experience with Databricks is a must (certifications ideal but not required)


• Knowledge of data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.)


• Data warehousing and Data lake concepts, hands on experience deploying pipelines using Databricks


• Cloud based data analytics architecture


• AWS/Azure knowledge


• Knowledge of developing ML Models is a plus


• Exposure of extracting and transforming data using Python.
