Job Details

"Purpose of Position:

The Regulatory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring regulatory compliance of lease provisions on University Lands mineral leases, maintaining well records pertinent to determining the validity of each lease and offering customer support for the filing of required regulatory documents. Daily correspondence with the operators on University Lands is necessary to ensure data compliance.

Essential Functions:
" Collect, analyze, and enter data received from the operators regarding well permitting, drilling and completion of wells, operator changes, consolidations, sub-divisions, down-hole commingles, etc. (RRC forms).
" Monitor Regulatory compliance of oil and gas operators on University Lands acreage.
" Work with operators to ensure University Lands well records are current and complete.
" Create penalty invoices for Regulatory non-compliance.
" Provide Industry education and assistance in reference to University Lands data requirements and use of public website.
" Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
" Bachelor s degree. Each year of right of way, land, title, or oil and gas land experience may substitute for one year of college (30 semester hours) up to a maximum of four years.

Preferred Qualifications:
" Bachelor of Science degree in related field
" Minimum 5 years experience with Texas Oil and Gas Regulatory forms
" Experience working with the Texas Railroad Commission

Work is performed in an office environment. Daily use of personal computer and other standard office equipment."
