RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II in Maryland Heights, MO.
Summary:
We are seeking a Business Analyst (Level II) with strong communication skills and a proven ability to document business requirements in Agile environments. This role will focus heavily on writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria, creating process flow diagrams, and working closely with multiple project managers and scrum masters across several concurrent projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
* Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, epics, and user stories
* Write user stories with acceptance criteria in JIRA
* Develop process flow diagrams using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools
* Support requirements analysis and gap analysis activities
* Conduct elicitation sessions and facilitate stakeholder discussions
* Ensure requirements are clear, concise, and testable
* Partner with QA teams for story reviews and defect triage (no direct UAT execution)
* Identify upstream and downstream system dependencies and impacts
* Support multiple projects simultaneously (6-7 at a time) across 3-4 PMs/scrum masters
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-4+ years of Business Analyst experience in an Agile environment (4+ preferred)
* Hands-on experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA
* Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, epics, and process flows
* Proficiency in Visio, Lucidchart, or other diagramming tools (BPMN experience a plus but not required)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on documentation and stakeholder interaction
* Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Preferred Skills:
* Telecom industry experience
* Familiarity with Amdocs systems
* Business analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, etc.)
* Experience with BPMN process modeling or UML notations
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
