Description

We are looking for a motivated Tier 1 SOC Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Overland Park, KS. This role is ideal for entry level candidates or individuals with certifications in cybersecurity and networking who are eager to develop their skills in a collaborative environment. The position focuses on monitoring and addressing security incidents while ensuring the protection of critical systems and data.

Responsibilities:

Monitor security alerts and analyze incidents to identify potential threats.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security issues effectively.

Utilize ticketing systems to track, document, and manage security incidents.

Apply foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including phishing, endpoint protection, and mobile security.

Conduct basic networking tasks to support security operations.

Provide proactive support to ensure the integrity and privacy of data.

Work with managed solutions and tools to enhance security measures.

Communicate findings clearly and professionally to stakeholders.

Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices.

Deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions related to security concerns.

Requirements

Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and networking protocols.
Certification or recent graduation in a tech-related field.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with engineers and other teams in a collaborative environment.
Experience or familiarity with ticketing systems.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as phishing, mobile security, and endpoint protection.
Exposure to managed solutions and tools is advantageous.
Commitment to maintaining data privacy and security.
