Location: Philadelphia, PA 1 day onsite per week to start; moving to 2 days onsite long term

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire / Full-time

Salary: up to $90K (depending on experience)

The Role:

We are seeking a QA Analyst to join our Philadelphia-based technology team. This is a hands-on role where you will own testing responsibilities end-to-end across multiple projects. You will be the primary QA on most initiatives, independently leading test planning, execution, and reporting for client-facing and internal applications, as well as integrations with third-party systems.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in smaller teams, takes ownership of QA processes, and brings strong technical depth across both backend and middleware testing.

What You ll Do:

  • Independently plan, coordinate, and execute manual and automated test initiatives across 3 4 concurrent projects.
  • Validate client-facing applications, internal IT systems, and integrations with external applications.
  • Review requirements for testability, create test plans, design test cases, and develop regression suites.
  • Execute backend and middleware testing with SQL, XML, JSON, and APIs.
  • Lead defect review sessions, log/facilitate issue resolution, and coordinate with developers and project managers to ensure quality delivery.
  • Produce clear test metrics, reports, and sign-off documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to QA methodology covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of software testing experience, including significant independent QA ownership.
  • Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience verifying and validating backend data.
  • Proficiency in testing APIs and interpreting/manipulating XML and JSON files.
  • Solid understanding of web architecture, protocols, and data exchanges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience testing financial applications or working in financial services environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Experience testing mobile applications.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, LSEG T1, financial planning tools, or wealth management platforms.
