Senior Software java Backend

Full Time position-Office located in Mountain View, CA (100% remote considered)

We are looking for a Senior Software java Backend to join our Nutrition Pod, where you ll play a key role in developing and optimizing our nutrition database, food logging experience, and nutrition recommendation engine critical components of the WholeBody Digital . This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare and advanced technology, collaborating with backend, mobile, and AI engineers, as well as product designers, managers, and nutrition experts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend microservices using Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL databases, Elasticsearch, Message Queues, Docker, and more.
• Build scalable and efficient systems capable of handling large datasets and complex
• Work with Data Scientists to build ML-driven services that generate insights and personalized nutrition recommendations.
• Ensure high performance and reliability through scalable architecture and best
• Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests to uphold code
• Integrate with third-party systems to expand
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed in a dynamic, fast-paced
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field (Master s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in software
• Proficiency in Java, developing high-scale, production-ready
• Strong experience with SQL & NoSQL databases, distributed systems, and microservices
• Bonus: Familiarity with Rules Engines, Complex Event Processing, or large-scale analytics
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and
• Experience in healthcare, biosensors, or related fields is a plus but not
