About the Role:
- We are seeing an Embedded Software Engineer to develop firmware and tools for a variety of AR and VR related devices.
Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer IV
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop firmware to integrate display pipelines with off-the-shelf displays
- Develop firmware to interface with hardware acceleration blocks, including embedded DSPs
- Develop PC-based test applications to demonstrate firmware functionality
- Test the developed firmware with the hardware
- Document designs and performance analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
- 8+ years experience in Firmware / Embedded Software Development in C/C++
- 2+ years experience developing firmware with multi-core SoCs or MCUs
- Experience with FreeRTOS or similar
- Experience with serial interfaces including USB and lightweight multi-threaded RTOSes
- Experience with video/graphics systems
- Experience with Python and C#
- Low power optimization of embedded systems
- Experience with synchronization and IPC for multi-core embedded systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master s degree or PhD in computer science, software engineering or relevant field preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in Firmware / Embedded Software Development in C/C++ preferred.
Location: Redmond, WA [Onsite]
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $145,600 $197,600 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
