Quality Assurance Tech II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client that is seeking a Quality Assurance Tech II in Sunnyvale, CA.

Summary:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks and detail oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Quality Assurance Tech II will work with hardware and software teams to create test plans and test cases
* Running test cases on devices - such as executing use case scenario-based testing
* Write, read, run, and enhance test scripts in collaboration with Software teams
* Execute test cases in the field and interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
* Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
* Support projects including setup and verification of all system components, troubleshooting during set-up and live sessions, and ensure integrity and upload, metrics reporting tasks and processes, and document best practices
* As a Quality Assurance Tech II, you will provide technical support to the field operation or trials team
* Apply knowledge of wireless and networking technologies, mobile devices, and quality assurance practices to ensure that connected devices meet all target requirements
* Gaining knowledge of the features and detailed functional requirements of the work well enough to execute your assigned tests

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience working with and Software teams for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting prototype devices
* Experience configuring, deploying and testing software updates including ability to identify issues and escalate to development as appropriate
* Experience coding and scripting in Python
* Experience with Ubuntu
* Experience in running user trials, beta, field testing or collecting customer feedback
* Experience testing in a Consumer Electronics lab or field environment
* Experience in Unix environment
* Hands-on experience in testing/Android-based devices
* Proven track record of using to analyze issues, make decisions, and generate various solutions
* Familiar with Jenkins build Environment
* Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and networking
* Excellent and proven troubleshooting skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Exceptional attention to detail, ability to follow through, and strong organizational skills
* Able to lift 25lbs and occasionally assist with device logistics when needed

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
