Job Description:

Virginia State Police is seeking Technical Support Analysts to support its new job applicant and employment background check program. This initiative helps employers assess a candidate's or employee s eligibility based on criminal justice data.

The Analyst will apply strong computer and analytical skills to research and resolve workflow-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate processing of background checks. Responsibilities also include tracking and troubleshooting processing issues, performing data analysis, and generating reports on system efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support processing of employment background checks for job applicants and employees.

Monitor and track background requests to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Identify, research, and resolve customer-facing workflow issues.

Use data analysis to determine root causes of system issues and implement solutions.

Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and evaluations of system performance.

Work closely with internal stakeholders and maintain clear communication.
