We're hiring Sr Network Engineer in Los Angeles

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network security components across stores, HQ, and cloud environments.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, or security risks; drive fast root-cause resolution.
  • Support store network deployments, upgrades, and POS connectivity—ensuring high uptime, stable Wi-Fi, and secure vendor/service integrations.
  • Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless controllers (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet or similar).
  • Perform network capacity planning, firmware updates, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with IT security to enforce network segmentation, zero-trust policies, identity-based access, and compliance.
  • Assist with cloud networking (AWS/Azure), VPN tunnels, routing, VPC/peering, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Implement monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Cisco DNA, Meraki Dashboard, etc.) and maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and inventories.
  • Partner with Help Desk and Infrastructure teams to support escalated network issues in a timely manner.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning for critical network systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for changes or outages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a multi-site or retail environment.
  • Strong experience with Cisco, Meraki, or Fortinet networking platforms.
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, SD-WAN, subnetting, DNS/DHCP, BGP/OSPF, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience supporting retail stores, POS networks, and wireless infrastructure strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure), network automation, or scripting (Python) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS and retail security standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
