Job Description:
Lead Enterprise Analyst

Location: Remote - candidates must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah

Employment Type: Contract- 1 year

Pay Rate Range: $50/hr-$55/hr

About the Role

We're seeking a Lead Enterprise Analyst to own end-to-end business analysis across complex, cross-functional initiatives. You will elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of stakeholders-customers, business users, and technical partners-while ensuring requirements and processes align with enterprise goals. This role blends strategic leadership, hands-on analysis, and coaching/mentorship to elevate practices across the organization.

What You'll Do

Project & Requirements Leadership
  • Lead the Concept phase with the project manager and sponsor to define the product vision, project scope, and high-level requirements.
  • Identify project stakeholders and user classes; document characteristics and negotiate representative responsibilities.
  • Plan and conduct requirements elicitation using interviews, document analysis, workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, competitive analysis, task/workflow analysis, and viewpoints.
  • Write requirements specifications using standard templates-simple, clear, unambiguous, and concise.
  • Decompose high-level business and user needs into functional and non-functional requirements (quality attributes, interfaces, constraints).
  • Represent requirements via analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios where appropriate.
  • Lead requirements analysis, verification, and peer reviews to ensure completeness, consistency, traceability, feasibility, and conformance to standards.
  • Manage requirements in a commercial RM tool (define attributes, manipulate, report, and maintain traceability).
  • Oversee change control for baselined requirements and track status across the lifecycle.

Enterprise Process & Architecture
  • Bring an enterprise, cross-functional perspective to unify business requirements and streamline processes aligned to company goals and initiatives.
  • Apply Enterprise Business Process Models & Engineering methods, tools, and metrics; lead logic diagramming and root cause analysis.
  • Understand high-level application and business architecture within specified domain areas and collaborate on solution alignment.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitate communication across the team, PMO, DTS, and business partners; ensure expectations are aligned and changes are communicated promptly.
  • Provide timely management reporting on plans, estimates, deliverables, risks, and decisions.
  • Serve as a coach/mentor to Business SMEs and Business Analysts on methodology, deliverables, and testing strategy/plan development and execution.

Leadership & Team Effectiveness
  • Lead and facilitate Enterprise Analyst team activities; provide instruction and mentorship on scope, methods, tools, deliverable content, documents, and plans.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities; improve team workflows for repeatability and robust exception handling.
  • Partner with Project Managers to align expectations, make recommendations, and resolve complex resource conflicts with Enterprise Analysis leadership.
  • Oversee small projects or sub-projects as assigned by PMO Enterprise Analyst Management.

Change Management
  • Consider enterprise-wide impacts of change in all deliverables and decisions; manage cross-functional boundaries and hand-offs.
  • Follow established change control procedures, ensuring appropriate approvals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible industry experience involving business requirements, documentation, or business modeling, with familiarity in systems analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Business analysis processes: requirements gathering, documentation, client relationship development.
    • Enterprise business process analysis/modeling, engineering methods, tools, and metrics.
    • Iterative Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Testing techniques, tools, and solutions; Data Management techniques/tools.
    • Structured analysis and design methodologies, practices, and processes.
    • Large-scale systems integration and complex business modeling.
    • Communication: writing, presenting, listening, facilitating.
    • Problem resolution and conflict management.
What Success Looks Like
  • Ability to discover the true requirements behind feature requests, align them with alternative technical and business approaches, and drive solutions that meet goals and constraints.
  • Recognized IT leadership at project and program levels; thought leadership in requirements methodology and tooling.
  • Proven ability to facilitate requirements activities for large, complex, and high-level groups across domain areas.
  • Effective collaboration across divisions; facilitation between senior management, PMO, and business to prioritize and manage time commitments of project staff.
  • Managerial experience leading others: planning, prioritizing, work definition, delegation, quality monitoring, and employee development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant domain experience in insurance, health care, or financial services.
  • General knowledge of healthcare business processes and systems.
  • Experience in a professional services environment (strongly desired).
  • Familiarity with process modeling tools, logic diagrams, and requirements management platforms.
Work Location
