Electrical Engineer
Key Role:
Perform detailed te chn ical analysis of electric power infrastructure, including electric power grid networks and supporting Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems ( SCADA ) and industrial control systems ( ICS ) . C ond uct independent te chn ical investigations and use sound engineering judgment to fill in gaps in data. Demonstrate knowledge of new and emerging OT or IT te chn ologies, including distributed energy resources, cloud infrastructure, and enhanced cybersecurity models. Work alongside SIGINT analysts and reporters to produce deliverables that meet customer requirements. Apply advanced engineering concepts to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, often without considerable direction.
Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with engineering applications
- Experience with electric power operations and systems in a substation, power plant, and auxiliary electric power support system, including WAMS, OMS, AMI, and advanced power applications
- Knowledge of transmission, distribution, or generation design or operations, ICS or SCADA design, commissioning or operations, system protection systems, or electric power modeling
- Ability to create and interpret te chn ical schematics and network diagrams
- Ability to communicate complex te chn ical problems in simple terms
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with SIGINT or the intelligence community
- Experience with International EP design and operations, OT or IT network security design and operations, scripting languages, including Python, C++, or JavaScript, enterprise data logging, Cloud infrastructure systems, or big data analytics, including structured, unstructured, or semi structured
- Global Industrial Cybersecurity Professional ( GICSP ) , Certified SCADA Security Architect ( CSSA ) , Cloud Security Essentials ( GCLD ) , or Global Response and Industrial Defense ( GRID ) Certification
- Professional Engineer ( PE ) License Certification
