Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business goals.
- Establish IT governance, policies, and best practices tailored to healthcare.
- Drive infrastructure modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
- Build and lead a high-performing internal IT team.
- Define roles and responsibilities to formalize the IT department structure.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
- Oversee the lifecycle of internal technologies including:
- Telecom systems (VoIP, mobile, landline)
- End-user devices (laptops, desktops, tablets)
- Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Evaluate and implement scalable hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and security.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and healthcare data protection.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols and monitoring tools.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing.
- Lead IT projects from planning to execution.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs.
- Oversee integration of enterprise applications (EHR, CRM, HRIS).
- Oversee help desk operations and technical support.
- Promote a customer-centric IT service culture.
- Develop user training programs and documentation.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in healthcare IT, including HIPAA and EHR systems.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure in a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated success in IT strategy, digital transformation, and compliance.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, network monitoring, cybersecurity platforms, and cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, cloud credentials).
