Our industry-leading commercial insurance client is seeking a Technical Lead to work with the vendor of software engineering skills, ensuring their quality and accountability to the project. They set the expectations for the vendor teams to follow, in order to maximize the value that they deliver to the internal business clients. The Software Engineering Technical Lead reviews solution design diagrams, requirements and code artifacts to build a deep understanding of the product under development. This role focuses on aligning upstream integration and platform deliveries and cross-team technical dependencies to ensure the delivery of quality software according to the internal software engineering standards and external industry practices. This role may also be required to lead technical planning sessions, identify risks, update solution or application design documentation and for administrative responsibilities around enabling the members of product teams.

Acting as a technical leader, the Software Engineering Technical Lead acquires and shares domain knowledge, engages with solution architects, chapter leads and product owners as a technical SME and process leader to ensure successful delivery of the technical aspects of development, test and deployment of a large multi-tier application.

Job Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience as a Software Engineer and Software Engineering Team Lead developing software solutions using technology such as C#, .NET, OOPs, SQL, Javascript/React, APIs including REST.
  • Experience with complex product deployments including automated smoke testing, CICD pipelines, quality and vulnerability scanning, release and rollback planning etc.
  • 2+ years' experience managing, coaching, mentoring, and developing a highly motivated technical workforce.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of modern software engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with architects and product owners to understand capacity and demands and optimizing these skills on teams.
  • Strong experience working with structured software engineering design patterns, understanding of performance improvement, scalability, debugging complex multithreading issues.
  • Experience working with a vendor team, acting as a strategic leader and partner to the product group while setting expectations for the technical delivery of the project.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Has detail-oriented tendencies when working with a software engineering codebase, is able to spot low-level code and application architecture issues that may have an impact on the performance of the solution being constructed.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
