Location & Work Arrangement
- City, State: Jackson, Mississippi
- Work Arrangement: Onsite
- Contract: This is a Contract position.
- Mode of Interview: Either In-person or Webcam.
Required Skills & Experience
This position demands a minimum of 10 years of Java development experience with proficiency in advanced architectural concepts.
Core Java & Application Architecture (Advanced Level)
- Java Development: Minimum 10 years of solid Java Development experience on Java 8 JDK or newer, emphasizing strong Object-Oriented Design and programming skills.
- JEE Proficiency: Advanced experience in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE).
- Design & Implementation: Advanced track record of working with stakeholders to design, implement, and enhance large applications using Java.
- SQL: Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
Integration & API Architecture (Advanced Level)
- ESB/Integration: Strong track record in ESB system planning, design, and integration specifically using JBoss Fuse (highly preferred) or similar ESB technology.
- Web Services: Advanced proficiency in both SOAP and REST web services frameworks.
- API Development: Focus on modern API development concepts, including API gateways, microservices, pub/sub, and event-driven solutions.
- Frameworks: Strong knowledge of the Spring framework (including Dependency Injection / IOC / SOLID / Spring Boot).
Stakeholder Management and Process
- Business Alignment: Experience working directly with customers/stakeholders to build and formulate business requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Ability to define and implement new technical direction and participate in issue resolution and process refinement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Database: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Methodology: Familiarity with Agile experience (SAFe, Agile Scrum, Kanban, XP or similar methodologies).
- Integration Depth: Background in SOA, EJB's, and experience with application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBOSS, Fuse).
- SOA: Experience with ESB SOA orchestration, prioritization, queue management, and APIs.
- Cloud/OS: Knowledge of Cloud Technology and working knowledge of the Unix/Linux operating system.
