Immediate need for a talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer. This is a 06+ Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Austin TX (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $60 - $70/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build & support forecasting applications.
  • Lead model deployment initiatives and integration into production.
  • Writing data pipelines and algorithms.
  • Cloud based deployment.
  • Attend regular meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

  • 7+ years of experience in ML.
  • 4+ years’ experience in model building, regression, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
  • Experience with cloud-based deployment, particularly Flash API or Flask in Python.
  • Proficient in Data Bricks.
  • Teradata & Hadoop are a huge plus.
  • Experience with additional database platforms such as Postgres.
  • Familiarity with Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with both data scientists and ML engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications in machine learning or cloud computing are a plus.
