Position: Senior Agricultural Field Technician
Location: Adamstown, Pennsylvania
Duration: Contract

Job Overview:
The Senior AG Field Technician is responsible for independently performing advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on agricultural and turf equipment, including dealer-owned and customer equipment. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to work professionally with manufacturers, team members, and customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment, including Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
  • Participate in service training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
  • Ensure vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment are in optimal condition.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations during work assignments.
  • Complete all required reports, forms, and tasks, including researching and requesting parts.
  • Account for all time and materials used in assigned duties according to dealership processes.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with manufacturers, team members, and customers.
  • Maintain 90% or above labor performance.
  • Perform diagnosis and repair in the field as needed.
  • Provide delivery services when required.
  • Conduct or support customer clinics as necessary.
  • Perform other related business duties as assigned by the supervisor or leadership.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in service repairs.
  • Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in equipment repair.
  • Provide personal tools needed for job duties (specialty tools provided by the dealership).
  • Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Valid insurable driver's license required.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid medical DOT card within two weeks of employment.
  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours, including some scheduled Saturdays.
Pay Range: $28.00 to $36.00 per hour

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
