Project Manager Software Asset Management

Remote (may require a small amount of travel as needed)

Contract through August 2026, potential to extend

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of project management experience, preferably in the areas of IT transformation and system migrations.
• M&A experience with software asset management
• Proven experience supporting the SAM workstream in a spinoff or merger, including experience with license transfers, novations, and transition service agreements
• Knowledge of software licensing, including license models, entitlements, compliance
• Proficient with SAM tools such as Flexera, Snow, or ServiceNow SAM Pro
• Experience with software vendor contract negotiations
• Ability to coordinate global, cross-functional teams to ensure overall alignment, including legal, procurement, and finance teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment, including tracking usage, renewals, and entitlements
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred
• ITIL certification preferred

Responsibilities:

O The project manager helps to execute specific components of the IT separation strategy, aligning it with the spinoff s business objectives and timelines.

O Acts as the main point of contact between business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and external consultants to ensure clear communication and alignment.

O Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks and issues related to the IT separation-specific project(s), ensuring business continuity.

O Manages budgets, allocates resources, and tracks expenditures to keep assigned project(s) within scope and financial constraints.

O Leads organizational change efforts, including communication, training, and adoption strategies for spinoff systems and processes.
