Immediate need for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer. This is a 18+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Richmond, VA (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Administer and troubleshoot Unix-based systems.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across all development and operational processes.
- Provide expertise in networking security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Work with IoT devices (e.g., security panels) to ensure secure integration and communication.
- Integrate and secure video recorders (e.g., Gentec, Verint) within our systems.
- Manage and secure access control systems (e.g., Lenel).
- Utilize knowledge of Mastermind, DMP Entre, and DMP VR products for secure deployment and operation.
- Facilitate secure IoT/server integration, ensuring data integrity and system resilience.
- Collaborate on and implement Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations for various applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to infrastructure, security, and application deployment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and security vulnerabilities.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; DevOps, AWS, CICD, Jenkins, IoT experience is a must (Lenel, Gentech DMP etc)
- HelpDesk / Desktop Support
- Windows/ Mac Support
- Service Desk
- Ticketing
- ServiceNow
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Proficiency with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrable experience in the Security Domain, including:
- Networking security fundamentals.
- IoT device integration and security (e.g., security panels).
- Experience with video recorder systems (e.g., Gentec, Verint).
- Knowledge of Access Management systems (e.g., Lenel).
- Familiarity with Mastermind, DMP Entre, and DMP VR products.
- Proven experience with IoT/Server integration.
- Exposure to and understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
