Description

SAIC is in need of a Military Joint Fires Expert to support war game scenario development, war game execution, and classroom instruction. This position is for someone who is passionate about training warfighters and ensuring our Navy is ready for deployment. Work is in support of war games and integrated fleet training. Place of performance is San Diego, CA (Point Loma) with occasional travel to Fleet Concentration Areas. Ideal candidate will need to be local to area.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Provide Joint Fires expertise for Navy strike group level training scenarios.
  • Provide operator training on the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS).
  • Instruct students and Navy strike group staffs on joint fires and targeting doctrine, processes, and procedures.
  • Produce and maintain Target Folders to support war game scenarios, courses of instruction, and other training events.
  • Develop and maintain constructive Joint Integrated Prioritized Target Lists (JIPTL) for given scenarios based on training objectives.
  • Develop and maintain training event Fires and Effects Working Group products such Joint Target List (JTL), No Strike List (NSL), Restricted Target List (RTL), and Attack Guidance Matrix (AGM) as required.
  • Develop and input dynamic targets (Time Sensitive/High Payoff/High Value) into training scenarios as required.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver Fires related briefing material to classes and senior staff members.
  • Assist with development and review of evolving Fires doctrinal documents.
  • Facilitate Navy Fires watch stander training during synthetic training exercises by acting as higher headquarters for various joint services and staffs.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience in military operations, fires, and target development and analysis. Experience with the Joint Targeting Cycle, specifically target development, validation, nomination, prioritization, and Weaponeering.
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance after start.
  • Familiar or at least aware of various fires/targeting C2 systems: JADOCS, JTT, AFATDS, MSS, DCiDE, PSS SoF, DIEE, and JWS.
  • Effective public speaker.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with Fleet Synthetic Training.
  • Experience with Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) is highly desired.
  • Experience with Live-Virtual-Constructive training initiatives.
  • Experience at TTGP and CSG-15.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
