Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an MDM Architect. This is a hands on role.  While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States.

Job Overview: 
The MDM Architect plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Master Data Management solutions. As an MDM Architect, you’ll be responsible for solution architecture, data integration, data quality, and development of rules to create a golden record (match, merge, de-duplicate), as well as survivorship, taxonomies, hierarchies and principles of governing mastered data. 

You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Define Master Data Architecture:
    • Lead the design and maintenance of the Master Data architecture, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and alignment with industry best practices.
    • Utilize advanced data modeling techniques to effectively model enterprise data domains such as Product, Customer, and Finance.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in various modeling approaches including Relational, Dimensional, and Data Vault modeling.
    • Apply knowledge of graph data modeling to enhance data representation and analysis capabilities.
  2. Develop MDM Capabilities and Tool Evaluation:
    • Define the MDM solution approach and style, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
    • Gather and document Functional and Non-Functional Requirements to guide the MDM solution architecture.
    • Participate in MDM tool selection activities, analyze available internal and external options, and providing recommendations on Build vs. Buy approach.
  3. Implement MDM solution:
    • Create Data Mapping and assess impacts from business and technical perspective.
    • Create macro and micro-Design deliverables. 
    • Analyze and define detailed MDM processes, tasks, data flows, and dependencies. 
    • Design overall Infrastructure and support the build of the environments. 
    • Define and build MDM as a service in a micro-service pub/sub environment.
  4. Enforce Integrity through Data Governance and Data Quality:
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure that MDM solutions adhere to established data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Design and implement data quality checks and validation rules within the MDM solution to maintain high-quality Master Data.
  • Develop strategies for data cleansing and enrichment to improve the accuracy and completeness of Master Data.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong technical background in the area of Master & Reference Data Management, preferably in the gaming or technology industry.
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of best practices for building core MDM capabilities including Workflow, Matching, Hierarchy Management, and Security.
  • 5+ years of MDM development, administration, and integrations experience.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in MDM analysis, design, development, support, and operations with at least two leading MDM tool suites.
  • 5+ years of technical knowledge on Data Architecture and Data Integration.
  • Experience with related Data Governance concepts and solutions (Business Glossaries, Data Catalog (ideally Alation), Data Quality analysis and remediation, Data Lineage).
  • Familiar with MDM trends, concepts and available tools in the market including MDM solutions, AI/ML with MDM, and Graph DB.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in managing Data Supply Chain and Data Lifecycle.
  • Hands-on expert in data analysis within and outside data warehouse, data consolidation, and data management / governance.
  • Able to lead a team and review designs independently, lead code reviews, and ensure quality throughout the life of the project.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day interactions effectively and relationships with a diverse group of colleagues.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and Snowflake

Nice to Have:

  • Proven knowledge of other master data domains
  • Experience with one or more MDM solutions from: Informatica, SAP, Oracle, Reltio, Ataccama, IBM, etc

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
