THIS ROLE IS 100% REMOTE BUT ONLY IN PLYMOUTH, PALO ALTO AND IRVINE as this role is set to convert to FTE depending on performance and business need
IT Business Solutions Analyst - Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
Overview
The IT Business Solutions Analyst will play a critical role in our company's transformation from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace. This role requires deep expertise in both ecosystems to evaluate 200+ business use cases currently leveraging Microsoft apps including the Power Platform. The primary goal is to migrate these use cases to Google Workspace, but where this is not feasible, the analyst will identify and implement the best alternative solutions, whether through continued Microsoft usage, third-party tools, or custom integrations.
Scope of Work
- Use Case Analysis: Thoroughly review and document each of the 200+ business use cases, identifying the specific functionalities and integrations reliant on Microsoft apps.
- Solution Design: For each use case, design a solution that either migrates the functionality to Google Workspace or identifies the optimal alternative (continued Microsoft usage, third-party tool, custom integration).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, communicate solution options, and manage expectations throughout the transition process.
- Implementation and Support: Oversee the implementation of solutions, providing technical support and guidance to ensure a smooth transition for end-users.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of use cases, solution designs, and implementation steps.
Most Important Requirement

- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with both Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Automate, etc.) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Apps Script, Appsheet, etc.).
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with both Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Automate, etc.) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Apps Script, Appsheet, etc.).
- Collaborative, problem-solving mentality and behavior
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Time management skills - ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira)
- Familiarity with APIs, scripting, and other integration technologies
- Familiarity with IT Cybersecurity and compliance requirements
