Key Focus on Role:
1. Architectural Solution Design (High Availability & Scalability)
The job description repeatedly emphasizes "Solution Design," "API SME," and "High Throughput." You aren't just writing code; you are responsible for the blueprint of the system. This includes managing complex integrations like SSO (SAML/OAuth) and ensuring the system can handle transaction-heavy environments.
Key focus: Translating business needs into technical artifacts (Architecture documentation, Technical Use Cases).
Technical depth: Proficiency in SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), Design Patterns, and Cloud Infrastructure (Google Cloud).

2. Technical Leadership & Agile Delivery Management
With a requirement of 5+ years of team leadership, this role acts as the bridge between management and the dev team. You are responsible for "roadblock removal," "development sizing," and "mentoring junior members."
Key focus: Story decomposition, task prioritization, and conducting code reviews.
Methodology: Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum, specifically working alongside Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure "timely and budget-friendly" delivery.

3. API & Security Engineering (Full-Lifecycle)
A massive portion of the "Must Haves" revolves around building and securing APIs. The JD specifically asks for an "API SME" who understands both the development (Java/C#) and the security protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, PKCE, OIDC, Kerberos) that protect them.
Key focus: Building REST/SOAP services in a transaction processing environment.
Quality & DevOps: Implementing TDD (Test-Driven Development) and managing the CI/CD pipeline (Bamboo/Bitbucket) to move those APIs into production safely.
