Job Description:

Apex is hiring for a Network Administrator for a major healthcare client!

This role is 100% onsite + LOCAL to San Francisco.

Compensation: $28-30/hr (overtime rates apply)

Schedule: M-F normal business hours

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will bring experience with Cisco, VOIP or telephony.

Experience Level:

3-6 Years of related experience preferred

High school diploma minimum

You must have a VALID drivers license as this is a driving role + will require a record check within the background process.

The Network Administrator will work within a Hospital and Clinical setting assisting with Break/Fix and new builds for Cisco Telephony products. VOIP, Router, Switch, LAN, WAN, CAT 5/6 cabling experience is needed.

Day to day includes:

Troubleshoot and resolve break/fix issues related to Cisco telephony systems, including VOIP phones, routers, and switches within hospital and clinical environments.

Install and configure new network builds, ensuring proper setup of LAN/WAN infrastructure and Cisco VOIP systems to support clinical operations.

Perform cabling tasks, including running, terminating, and testing CAT 5/6 cables to support network connectivity across hospital departments.

Monitor and maintain network performance, identifying and addressing latency, connectivity, or hardware issues affecting clinical workflows.

Collaborate with IT and clinical staff to ensure network changes and upgrades align with healthcare compliance standards and operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide Level 1 support and troubleshooting to resolve Network and Telephony issues.

* Assist with ensuring the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise voice communications network including, but not limited to client hardware and software issues related to Network Telephony.

* Installing, maintaining, and managing all data network/telephony equipment such as phones, routers, LAN switches, wireless, servers, backup systems, network management and diagnostic tools, etc. under supervision.

* Assist with network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.

* Perform basic inventory management processes and create equipment Return Material Authorizations RMAs and track these through to problem resolution.
