Job Title: IT Computer Operator Consultant

Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite)

Note: Occasional weekend support may be required (1 2 hours) for testing. Weekend testing is typically performed remotely.


Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated IT Computer Operator to join our IT operations and customer support team. This role provides technical support for end-users and assists with IT operations tasks to ensure smooth functioning of the organization's IT environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide end-user IT support, including troubleshooting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, printers, and audio/visual connectivity in conference rooms.

  • Ensure wired and wireless network connectivity for office users.

  • Assist with IT operations tasks, such as information security audit research, third-party vendor coordination, asset management, computer imaging, and updating team process/procedure documentation.

  • Track and manage all work using a ticketing system.

  • Support a professional, corporate, or government IT environment with high standards of customer service.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT end-user support.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10/11.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Printer and hardware/laptop support experience.

  • Experience in PC imaging/building.


Preferred Skills:

  • A+ Certification.

  • Experience in end-user network support.

  • Exposure to information security practices.

  • Onsite or in-person IT support experience.

  • Familiarity with MS Teams, asset management, and help desk ticketing systems (ITSM).

  • Background in banking, finance, legal, judicial, or accounting environments is a plus.
