Location : Irvine,CA OR North Quincy,MA Hybrid/Onsite
Duration : 6+ Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer proficient in Micro Focus COBOL or NetCOBOL, with strong knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs in Micro Focus COBOL or NetCOBOL environments.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, updates, and performance tuning.
- Perform application integration and deployment on Unix/Linux systems.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues in production and test environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver stable and efficient solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and operational procedures.
- Support migration or modernization projects involving COBOL applications.
