OpenShift Engineer
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Engineer to lead the architectural direction and implementation of our container platform strategy. This role will be pivotal in guiding the transition from a VMware and Rancher-based environment to OpenShift, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
Team & Scope
You'll join a core infrastructure team responsible for managing, hosting, and engineering the mobile technology environment. The group consists of nine full-time engineers and two contractors, collaborating to design, build, and maintain the platforms that support critical enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture design and decision-making for the migration to OpenShift.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure robust, secure, and highly available environments.

Oversee platform integration, automation, and optimization efforts.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to team members.

Maintain best practices for container orchestration, virtualization, and platform management.
Core Technology Stack

Primary: OpenShift (Version 4.12+)

Virtualization: VMware (preferred) and OpenShift Virtualization

Supporting Tools & Platforms: Container orchestration, cluster management, and related DevOps toolchains.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Proven expertise in OpenShift platform architecture and administration.

Experience in virtualization technologies, preferably VMware.

Strong background in leading large-scale platform transitions or upgrades.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
