About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Representative II to support large-scale infrastructure and construction projects in West Palm Beach, FL. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of all construction activities from materials and workmanship to project documentation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy civil, roadway, bridge, or vertical construction and a solid understanding of construction standards, specifications, and inspection procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections on heavy civil and/or vertical construction projects.
- Verify that construction work meets plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and document non-conformances, assist in corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
- Review materials testing reports, shop drawings, and QA/QC documentation.
- Maintain detailed daily inspection reports, checklists, and photo documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address quality issues.
- Ensure safety, environmental, and compliance standards are met at all project sites.
- Conduct site visits must be able to walk on rough terrain, climb, and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of construction experience, including 6 years in QA/QC or inspection roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards (FDOT, ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Excellent skills in report writing, field documentation, and communication.
- Physically capable of performing on-site inspections and fieldwork.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with FDOT or municipal infrastructure projects.
- Certifications such as ACI, NICET, or OSHA 10/30.
- Proficiency in construction documentation software (e.g., e-Builder, Procore, or similar).
