World Wide Technology is looking for a Senior Network Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $75.00 to $80.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our advanced engineering team in a primarily Cisco environment. This role is remote, with occasional on-site requirements. The ideal candidate will possess or be near obtaining a CCIE certification and will have extensive experience in routing, switching, wireless, and ISE. You will play a critical role in advanced troubleshooting, managing TAC cases, and assisting with configurations and deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and manage TAC cases to resolve complex network issues.
  • Assist with network configurations and deployments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct deep dives into network configurations to identify and resolve wireless issues, particularly in the Plano area.
  • Collaborate with Baylor Scott & White Health for direction and work with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) as the next level of escalation.
  • Document network configurations and troubleshooting processes to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Engage in day-to-day network operations, becoming an integral part of the network team to enhance visibility and understanding.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a Cisco environment, with a focus on routing, switching, wireless, and ISE.
  • CCIE certification or near CCIE level is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to handle Level 3 and Level 4 network issues independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to identify and resolve network inconsistencies.
  • Excellent documentation skills to support network operations and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in problem-solving.
