Senior Software Engineer - Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Job Type: Temporary (6 months, with potential for extension)
Location: On-site - Orlando, FL / Burbank, CA / Seattle, WA / Los Angeles, CA
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team, specifically within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) group. This team is responsible for delivering a secure, seamless, and scalable IAM ecosystem that supports employees, partners, and stakeholders across multiple business segments and corporate functions.
As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in our IAM Transformation initiative, focusing on engineering and administration of Okta solutions. You will contribute to the migration of applications and identity services, helping to modernize and consolidate our IAM infrastructure.

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in our IAM Transformation initiative, focusing on engineering and administration of Okta solutions. You will contribute to the migration of applications and identity services, helping to modernize and consolidate our IAM infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and administer Okta solutions at scale within a large enterprise environment.
- Support application migrations from legacy systems (e.g., ADFS, Ping Federate) to Okta.
- Implement and maintain large-scale IAM solutions, including SSO, MFA, and identity federation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM with HCM systems (e.g., SAP, Workday).
- Manage certificate lifecycles and ensure secure integration across platforms.
- Automate operational tasks and deployment activities using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Apply ITIL concepts to operational procedures and contribute to Agile sprint planning.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including technical teams and leadership.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT Enterprise Technology, with a focus on identity and access management.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Okta in a medium-to-large enterprise.
- Proficiency with IAM technologies such as Okta, Active Directory (Azure AD/AD), Ping, SailPoint, BeyondTrust.
- Strong understanding of protocols and standards: SAML, SCIM, OAuth2, OIDC, LDAP, FIDO2, Kerberos.
- Experience with network protocols and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, CIDR).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and large-scale IT transformation projects.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Okta Certified Administrator
- Okta Certified Workflow Specialty
- Experience with IAM data integration and lifecycle management
- Knowledge of core application security principles (e.g., encryption, SSL/TLS, XSS, CSRF)
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a related field.
