Data Intelligence LLC is seeking a highly skilled Master Network Specialist to support the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will bring a strong leadership background, technical expertise in network administration, and a proven track record of managing senior IT technicians within complex, mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of senior IT technicians supporting local and wide-area network (LAN/WAN) operations within a secure military environment.
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
- Serve as a technical authority for network performance analysis, configuration, and optimization.
- Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and ensure alignment with DoD and USMC security policies.
- Coordinate with other IT functional areas, contractors, and Marine Corps leadership to support mission objectives.
- Manage virtualization environments (e.g., VMware) and Microsoft-based desktop and server systems.
- Provide tier-3 level support and mentoring to junior and mid-level technicians.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience leading senior IT technicians in a local IT network environment, preferably in a DoD or federal agency setting.
Certifications (Must hold or be able to obtain prior to start):
IAT Level II compliant certifications (one or more):
- Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GSEC, CND, SSCP
Additional Preferred Certifications:
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- CompTIA Network+, A+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA)
- Windows OS Certifications
Clearance:
- Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) required on day one.
Desired Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, networking protocols, routing/switching, virtualization, and secure systems management.
- Familiarity with DoD/USMC network operations, policies, and environments.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
