Role: Systems Technician II
Work Location: Onsite
500 S Grand Central Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89106
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM Las Vegas Time, Monday thru Friday.
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension
Expected Start Date: Anticipated Start Date November 24, 2025; however, this is based upon successful results from the background check. The selected candidate may be able to start prior to background check completion with limited access; however, full access and continued employment are based on passing a stringent criminal background check.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Systems Technician II (Desktop/End User Compute Technicians) to meet our needs. The selected candidate will be responsible for imaging and deploying desktops/laptops with Client departmental images. On average, 50 workstations need to be imaged and ready for deployment per day, and for laptops, 60 need to be imaged and ready for deployment per day. Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow incidents for desktops/laptops hardware and software issues within the agreed-upon SLA.
Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of formal experience working with Desktops, Laptops, and Tablets.
- Work and get directions from a team of 25 highly skilled Systems Technicians supporting Client desktop needs.
- Installing and configuring County standard Hardware and Software (Dell OptiPlex, Latitude, and Precision workstations and laptops)
- Two years of experience using Tanium or Enterprise-level imaging solution (s)
- Two years of experience installing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 11
- Two years experience installing and troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suites 2024 and O365.
- Two years experience with basic Microsoft Administration for desktops and laptops, and intermediate-level Network Infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting techniques
- Documentation of technical procedures, Asset tracking and inventory management, Customer Service skills
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Preferred Requirements:
- Two years formal experience with triaging computer issues and imaging workstations and laptops
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities with a proactive, resourceful, and innovative approach.
- Understanding of standard procedures and laws related to software licensing agreements, Methods, and practices of IT hardware and software management
- Inventory control record-keeping practices and principles
- Standard procedures and laws related to software licensing agreements, preparing clear and concise correspondence, and other written materials
- Demonstrate professional organization, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven multi-tasking skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure, handle heavy volumes, and meet demanding deadlines
Education:
- Two (2) years of college-level coursework in computer science, information systems, or a field related to the work. (Required)
- Two (2) years of full-time experience in installing and troubleshooting personal computer hardware and software. (Required)
- One (1) year of full-time experience in installing and troubleshooting personal computers and network hardware, and software. (Required)
- Possession of a four-year degree in an appropriate field. (Desirable)
