Platform/Cloud Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

Responsibilities:

• Help design, estimate, and architect specific needs, working closely with vendors where applicable, infrastructure architects, solution architects, and other technical leads.
• Take guidance and direction from senior platform engineers and the manager this role reports to.
• Determine needs and coordinate requests for network, storage, capacity, and security specifications, working with engineers from those areas to successful completion in all environments.
• Provide troubleshooting support, performance testing and tuning support, and production implementation support.
• Ensure the production support team is informed and prepared to take over application support once implemented.
• Ensure install documentation, playbook documentation, and runbook documentation are up to date, and review and provide input on design and architectural documentation.
• Participate in implementation strategy planning and provide input for tasks related to this role.
• Ensure monitoring is at the appropriate level in all required environments.
• Liaise with DevSecOps Center for Enablement to ensure enterprise tools and practices are followed and to share team-specific practices that may benefit others.
• Liaise with cloud teams to ensure enterprise tools and practices are followed and to share team-specific practices that may benefit others.
• Develop strong relationships with enterprise solutions platform teams, production support teams, CT&O counterparts, and others involved in project efforts.

• Bachelor s degree in Business or Computer Science.
• Experience in software engineering or IT, including installation and configuration of applications, application design, or architecture design.
• Experience in Windows architecture, SQL Server, Linux servers, and AIX servers.
• Exposure to cloud architecture, application introduction, CICD pipeline, and databases including SQL, DB2, and Oracle.
• Experience working in Agile teams and knowledge of Agile development and release practices.
• Experience or knowledge of SAFe, Enterprise Scrum, Kanban, and Rally.
• Experience as a member of an application and/or infrastructure delivery team.
• Experience or knowledge in deploying and configuring infrastructure and application software.
• Experience in the banking industry.
