Job Title: Master Data Manager

Job Summary:
The Master Data Manager will oversee the management and governance of master data across the organization, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and accessibility supporting all of Vision Group s solutions. This role involves creating and enforcing data management strategies, processes, and standards to improve the quality and usage of data. The manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data governance with organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance and Strategy Development:
- Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive master data management (MDM) strategy across the organization.
- Develop and enforce policies, standards, and procedures for data governance and data quality.
- Ensure that master data is consistently defined, stored, and utilized across systems and business functions.
- Master Data Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of master data from creation and modification to archival and deletion, ensuring proper stewardship and compliance with data retention policies.
- Manage data integration across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, BI tools, etc.) to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Data Quality and Integrity:
- Monitor and enforce data quality metrics, ensuring that master data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Lead data cleansing and data validation efforts to resolve issues with data quality.
- Implement corrective actions for data discrepancies and work with teams to continuously improve data quality.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with our clients and to ensure that master data needs are aligned with business processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on master data for various teams, providing support and guidance on best practices for data handling.
- Coordinate with business process owners to establish data requirements and ensure that the data aligns with operational needs.
- Master Data Systems and Tools:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of MDM tools and technologies.
- Manage system integration and ensure the seamless flow of data between platforms.
- Ensure that the necessary system configurations, data definitions, and workflows are in place for efficient data management.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to master data management.
- Provide insights to leadership regarding data trends, quality issues, and areas for improvement.
- Regularly report on the health of master data across the organization.
- Training and Support:
- Train employees on master data management best practices and systems.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance for teams involved in data entry, validation, and reporting.
- Foster a data-driven culture by promoting data literacy and the importance of data governance within the organization.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure that master data management practices comply with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
- Proactively identify potential data-related risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
