Job Title: Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in a hybrid environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Cloud services, DevOps practices, and data ecosystem platforms, with a strong focus on CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure as code, and enterprise-grade observability and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jfrog, and SonarQube
- Champion release management best practices and architect development tooling for cloud-based engineering solutions
- Collaborate with teams to support data engineering and AI-based platforms
- Integrate and manage data sources and ensure seamless data ecosystem connectivity
- Implement security best practices using tools for vulnerability scanning, secret management, and continuous monitoring
- Monitor infrastructure using platforms like Dynatrace, Azure Insights, and Prisma Cloud
- Administer and integrate servers, networks, and external connections for production readiness
- (Optional) Hold or pursue Azure Cloud certification
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Azure Cloud certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience
- Proven experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure design
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Cloud services: Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, Service Bus
- Strong background in Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration
- Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
- Experience in enterprise DevOps environments with CI/CD and release automation
- Familiarity with system administration, integration, and observability platforms
