Job Details
This Data Engineering role involves building solutions, integrating open-source software within their internal ecosystem. The responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and shipping new components and features. The role requires close collaboration with internal customers to understand their requirements and workflows, proposing new features, and making ecosystem changes to enhance their experience. You will spend a large part of your time writing code, designing/developing cloud applications, tuning/debugging codebases, and supporting production applications and end users.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and Optimize Data Pipelines: Develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines for real-time analytics and reporting.
- Data Infrastructure Development: Design and maintain a reliable, accessible, and secure data infrastructure.
- Data Integration: Analyze business use case, perform data profiling, and implement data transformations required for curating raw data into AI/ML and BI-ready data.
- Streaming & Batch Processing: Create reusable, fault-tolerant, and scalable data pipelines that are reusable, fault-tolerant, and scalable.
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement data integrity validations and quality checks.
- Collaboration: Work with platform engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Data Warehouse Design: Design and optimize data lakes, warehouses, and marts.
- Innovation & Automation: Automate data workflows and introduce productivity-enhancing tools.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure.
Required Skills & Tools:
- Experience: 10+ years in building and maintaining enterprise-level data applications on distributed systems.
- Programming: Expert in SQL, Python, or similar languages.
- Data Pipeline: Experience with ELT tools like DBT, Azure, Airflow, Fivetran; streaming platforms like Kafka, Spark.
- Data Lake & Warehouse: Proficiency with cloud-based platforms like Snowflake, advanced SQL skills.
- Data Governance: Knowledge of RBAC, RLS, data masking, data lineage, compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA); tools like Datahub, Collibra.
- Automation & DevOps: CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch), automated testing (JUnit, PyTest).
- Agile Methodologies: Experience in agile or scrum teams.
- Machine Learning: Hands-on with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), Jupyter notebooks.
- Data Visualization: Tools like Streamlit, Superset, Tableau, Business Objects, Looker.
