Job title: Production Support Analyst

Location: Reston, VA

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Engineer with deep expertise in AWS services to join our 24/7/365 support operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 operational support for AWS-hosted applications and services
- Monitor and respond to alerts and incidents using tools like MyServices and Sentinus
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS and other core services
- Execute scheduled tasks and business processes using runbooks and automation tools
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to implement fixes and enhancements
- Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system performance
- Ensure high availability and performance of production environments, with best-effort support for lower environments

Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience (7 years preferred)
- AWS Certification preferred (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator)
- Strong understanding of AWS architecture, services, and best practices
- Basic programming knowledge to read and understand code
- Experience working in SLA-driven environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with:
-AWS EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, and VPC
-Messaging systems like Tibco EMS or IBM MQ
-UNIX/Linux environments
-Job scheduling tools like Autosys
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Sentinus
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Experience contributing to and using a Knowledge Base
- Flexible work hours and dependable availability for on-call rotations
