Looking for a station engineer with mechanical background must have high pressure license at minimum and a 608 universal refrigerant
Needs to have boiler chiller cooling tower centrifugal pumps pneumatic pumps operation and repair or rebuild wastewater is a plus for treatment
Welding pipe fitting etc.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Hydronic Boiler & Chiller Operator with a strong mechanical background to join our powerhouse operations team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of hydronic boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, and associated systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, pump rebuilding, vibration analysis, and wastewater and cooling tower systems, along with a solid understanding of EPA compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain hydronic boiler and chiller systems.
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on pumps, motors, and valves.
Conduct vibration analysis and align pumps and rotating equipment.
Maintain and repair cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for system maintenance.
Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate logs and documentation of system performance and maintenance activities.
Respond to alarms and troubleshoot system malfunctions promptly.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and safety teams to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience operating hydronic boiler and chiller systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pump and motor repair/rebuild.
Proficiency in welding, pipefitting, and mechanical alignment techniques.
Knowledge of vibration analysis tools and techniques.
Familiarity with cooling tower and wastewater system operations.
Understanding of EPA regulations and environmental compliance practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
State or local boiler operator license Needed
EPA 608 Certification (Universal). Needed
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
